You know that I can't live without my aprons, especially those in linen or thick cotton, I always wear them at home, not only for cooking, but also for carrying out the thousand household activities.
But I like to always be tidy so the apron has to be nice!!!! That is, it has to be able to be worn even when I invite friends to dinner, for example.
That's why I thought of this beautiful apron, to wear over clothes.

This apron is made of an antique heavy fabric, hand woven on a loom over a century ago and very well preserved. These fabrics are increasingly hard to find, but I had the opportunity to give them a second life.

The cloth was very well preserved, with its evident, irregular and rustic weave.
These fabrics were hand-woven on a loom and the various panels, whose width was dictated by the size of the loom, were hand-sewn lengthwise to obtain the desired width. These beautiful hand-sewn stitchings can be seen in various parts of the apron.

A letter C is cross-stitched in red, in one corner of the front panel of the skirt.

The model is typical of Cecibirbona: it features a bodice to which a rich gathered skirt is attached; the front and back are tied with two side bows.
It is worn from above in a very practical way, even without untying the side bows every time. It can also be worn, like all my aprons, in a way to make it more adherent, as you can see in the photos.
It has two comfortable and roomy pockets.
The edges of the skirt are the original ones of the cloth.

The fit is loose and comfortable, so it can be worn over skirts and trousers, but at the same time it is very graceful and feminine.

One of a kind.

The fabric is a pure cotton, over a hundred years old. A real treasure.
Small imperfections and small stains testify to the age of this fabric and speak of its past.

Hand wash with mild soap or machine wash at 30 degrees on delicate cycle. Do not spin. Do not dry in the sun.

One size fits all. You see it worn by me who is 1.64 m tall.
