This apron is really original and very very romantic.
It is the perfect apron for those who love the atmospheres of the past, the flavors of the past, the trousseaus of grandmothers. An apron that can give rise to pleasant contrasts, being combined with jeans and a t-shirt, dramatizing it and playing with it a bit.
This apron was made from an old nightgown, found at an antiques market, which was love at first sight. It had beautiful embroidery on the front and the neckline was edged with a delightful scalloped edge, and they were fastened on the shoulder with small mother-of-pearl buttons.
The nightgown, however, was, as often happens, very large and difficult to wear, so I decided to use only the upper part, transforming it into a bodice, to which I sewed a skirt obtained from a beautiful old hemp fabric, from which I also obtained the pockets.
I decided to complete and finish this apron with a vintage trimming, which came from an old haberdashery that closed years ago, pale pink and very beautiful, in my opinion perfect for this apron.
I really like the final result, the apron is very romantic and voluminous and will surely make happy a girl or a lady who loves to cook and receive guests with a touch of originality.
It is an apron that can also be used in a work environment, for example in a flower shop, in a shop with a retro decor, in a somewhat fairy-tale context.
