Another wonderful antique linen cloth, dating back to the end of the 19th century, which comes from the precious trousseau of a wealthy Tuscan family.
A youthful but also classic apron, suitable for all ages. It is in fact perfect for a girl but also for an adult lady or a grandmother.
The model is the typical one of my apron with a wide bodice that continues in two gathered panels and connected on the sides by two bows. It has two comfortable pockets.
But the wonder lies first of all in the linen fabric made on a loom, hand-woven and sewn lengthwise with dense and very strong stitches, even if made by hand, as was the custom in those days. A beautiful fabric featuring stunning and very elaborate embroidery…flowers, leaves, branches and carvings that chase each other covering a large part of the front panel of the skirt. Added to this is a wonderful hand crocheted border that decorates the front of the skirt and the two pockets.
A true marvel, unique and precious.
The fit is comfortable, making it suitable for all sizes. You see it worn by me who is 1.64 m tall.
