A beautiful outfit for the kitchen, and not only... because it's not just an apron. It's a wonder that comes to us from a distant past.
Its story begins over a century ago, from a beautiful antique hand-loomed linen fabric with a delightful monogram and a tall crocheted lace that I had the honor of having in my tailoring workshop, transforming it into one of my aprons.
A unique piece, coming from the past, that has seen the light again after many, many decades.
An apron in Cecibirbona's classic model, with a wide bodice that continues into two gathered panels connected at the sides by two bows, with two comfortable front pockets.
A beautiful fabric, of the old kind, hand-loomed. Hand-loomed fabrics had a width dictated by the size of the loom itself and were therefore hand-sewn lengthwise, and these resistant and perfect hand-stitched seams are beautifully displayed on the skirt.
The original hand-embroidered GP monogram represents the initials of the woman to whom the fabric belonged. They are two very large letters, embroidered in cross-stitch in red and light blue.
Truly delightful!
As stunning is the lace that adorns the front panel of the skirt and the two pockets, tall and perfectly handmade, crocheted.
In this apron are condensed all the most important elements: a beautiful fabric, a lovely monogram, and a tall, very beautiful lace.
All this combined with Cecibirbona's model... for you!
The fit is comfortable, adjustable with bows on the sides, a detail that makes it suitable for all sizes.
You can see in the photos the various ways to wear it.
The fabric is a beautiful late 19th-century fabric, so you will find small imperfections and signs of wear that characterize it and testify to its past history. The fabric is still in good condition but time has left its marks, so this apron, like all those made from antique fabrics, is not for everyone, but only for those who can read in the signs of time an added value, a trace of the decades that this apron brings to us.
Unique piece, ready for delivery.
