It is a cross duster, made in a beautiful antique linen handmade on a loom over a century ago. One of the antique fabrics that I bought in the vintage markets that I visit on weekends in search of great little treasures.
A really wonderful heavy linen!
A loom-woven linen fabric in narrow and long panels, which were then sewn together by hand in length, to form wider sheets intended for linen and whose seams, narrow and very resistant, are highlighted in the bodice and skirt of this overcoat, making it even more beautiful.
The tunic crosses in front, so that you can comfortably adjust it in size thanks to two comfortable laces to tie in a bow. The bodice outlines the silhouette and enhances the bust and the gathered but not too complete skirt.
The sleeves are 3/4.
It is a garment to be worn over trousers, a skirt, but also over a loose dress, in short, a garment to be exploited on a thousand occasions.
And above all in every season, because it can be worn as a light coat in the warmer seasons, but also in winter, overlapping it with woolen garments, creating original and beautiful contrasts.
