It is made of a beautiful, rough antique linen, loom-woven, sturdy and substantial, made to last.
Originally, the fabric panels had a fixed width: for this reason, they were joined by hand, with visible seams that today tell the story of how they were created.
These original seams can still be seen on the skirt and bodice panels, and are a precious part of its history.
It is an important fabric, perfectly weighted, which becomes more beautiful, softer, and more lived-in with use.

What makes it truly special are the large initials embroidered on the front, accompanied by delicate branches of flowers and leaves. The letters in the monogram are TH.
