I confess that I love aprons, but you already know that, especially the thick fabric ones, I always wear them at home, not only for cooking, but also for carrying out the thousand household activities.
But I like to always be tidy so the apron has to be nice!!!! That is, it has to be able to be worn even when I invite friends to dinner, for example.
This is why I thought of this apron, which is almost a dress, to be worn over clothes.

This apron is made of a beautiful natural-colored vintage raw linen and hemp fabric, hand-woven on a loom and very well preserved. These fabrics are increasingly hard to find, but I was lucky enough to buy it at a flea market in the Tuscan countryside.

This fabric is embellished with a delightful hand-embroidered drawstring, by patient and skilled hands, which decorates the hem of the skirt panels and the two roomy pockets. The front drawstring is higher and more elaborate than the back, but they are both very well made and are beautiful, the result of careful work by expert hands.

The model is typical of Cecibirbona: it has a bodice to which a rich gathered skirt is attached; the front and back are tied with two side bows. It is worn from above in a very practical way, even without untying the side bows every time.

It has two comfortable and roomy pockets.

The fit is loose and comfortable, so it can be worn over skirts and trousers, but is at the same time very graceful.

One of a kind.

The linen and hemp backed fabric dates back to the first half of the last century. Small imperfections and small stains testify to the age of this fabric and speak of its past.

Hand wash or machine wash at 30 degrees on a delicate cycle. Do not spin or dry in the sun.

With washing the colour will gradually tend to lighten, a testament to the naturalness of the fabric, acquiring the warm colour of raw linen.

One size fits all. You see it worn by me who is 1.64 m tall.
